RPG Forum

In a day and time when roleplayers are scattered across the known continent and cyberspace, there are few places where all roleplayers can come together and prosper from their collective knowledge, experience, and ideas. But lucky for us, this site is one. Webmastered and organized by Mr. Fred Ellis (of MSN fame), this site is a good example of roleplayers coming together in a community. It provides all the needs of a roleplayer, online or offline. You can find newsgroups, chat rooms (java and IRC), monthly columns, downloads (programs, adventures, accessories), links, and up-to-date features about the hottest gaming events online. Games currently running through the RPG Forum include World of Darkness chronicles, Harnmaster campaigns, ad&d campaigns, Star Wars sims, Free Form chat channels, and much more. Best of all, this is a place where you can get involved. You are not forced to sit and watch from the back, rather you get a chance to speak your own and participate as much as you would like. I highly recommend you visit this site and get involved. If anything, you will get as much gaming as you can stand.

Tiefling Net

Ahhh... yes. We cannot forget the home of the Great Netbook Prayer and Spell homepage. This site is simply one of the best ad&d related sites out there. It features great collection of links and the most exhaustive source of spells and prayers to be found anywhere. In fact, the coolest thing about the Great Net Spellbook - Online and the Great Net Prayer book - Online is that you can customize your very OWN spellbook. Instead of having to print off 200 plus spells and prayers, with a majority being ones that you will not use, you can choose which spells and prayers will go into your book and print just that collection. The only thing bad about this site is the fact that resolution is very important (800 x 600 is best) and the whole place is image intense. Still, it ranks very high on the best ad&d sites out there and is worth a bookmark (if not two).

RPG Net

This is one of the best rpg websites out there! It contains numerous pages of use to just about any gamer, as well as news from the industry and lots of links. One part of this vast site includes a list of Free RPGs on the web, home of GLIFS, postings of conventions, tons and tons of weekly reviews on the latest products, interesting and humorous views through monthly columns, various rpg related organizations, links to gaming companies, links to ezines and rpg magazines, and too much else to mention it all. Enough said, this is a site to check out and bookmark. Every Tuesday night they update their content, so be sure to take a gander at least once a week. You will not be disappointed.

Gary Gygax

From the co-creator of Dungeons & Dragons, Advanced Dungeons & Dragons and creator of Cyborg Commando and Dangerous Journeys comes a nice website that gives a peak into the realms of Gygax's mind. Although the site (composed of alot of VRES, Java, and various other bits of code) is very beautiful, it is worthy to note that on a slow connection the site can crawl. But the wait is probably worth it. Most of the really good links are on the front page, allowing you immediate access to his current projects, Legendary Adventures and Legendary Earth. You might also check out the chess game he designed himself, as well as a nice computer version of the game. Overall, the site is very cool, and any fan of rpgs would do well to pass by every once in a while to pose a question to the Colonel.
