DoD III - DoD Character Tournament

Rules

(Please Read Carefully)

A DoD Character Tournament is an exciting way to roleplay your favorite characters and prove that you are the best around. The rules are simple and precise.

Overall, the character tournament is a tournament where a group of selected players roleplay a submitted character. All characters are submitted before the competition, and a group of judges select the best characters to participate. 20 characters will be allowed entry into the actual tournament. Those 20 will be divided up into 5 parties. Each party will run a pre-written module while being judged on roleplaying ability. Of those parties, the best character from each will move ahead and form one final party. The best roleplayer from those winners will win the tournament.

The module will be divided into two parts. Those lucky enough tomove ahead will be able to finish the second half, completing thestory that began to unfold in the first half.

Make a character sheet that is easy to read and looks nice, but do not include anything unnecessary such as colors, images, or special formatting.

The more believable the character the better. In other words, a character will all 18s has no chance of being accepted into the tournament. Character stats should be well balanced and mixed.

Background stories are a must, and the more realistic and interesting the more likely the character will be accepted.

All characters start with the normal gold. Do not include any magical items or special items even if the character has a good background to make it plausible.
