To supports its continuing role as one of the best ways for small companies to advertise and demo their products, the DoD III staff presents the Talislanta tournament. Talislanta, the "sleeper" hit RPG, is being played live via IRC. The best players in the tournament will recieve free autographed copies of the new Talislanta 4th edition. Go to https://members.tripod.com/~DoDIII/ and then click on the Talislanta link to read up on the simple system, look over the pre-generated characters, and sign-up online!
Sign up takes less then 3 minutes, and the rules are just as easy!
The module plans to challenge both new and experienced players. It is titled "Survival of the Fit", written by DoD staff member, Tipop.
"What would you do, trapped in the wilderness with enemies around and among your own party, and the nearest safe haven days away? Danger lurks around every corner and within the hearts of your "allies", yet you must work together to survive... What would you do?"
The focus of the adventure is role-playing and teamwork... Two tasks that are difficult to do at the same time, due to the character's backgrounds and situation.
A team that survives intact but fails to role-play or work as a team will get far fewer points than a team that role-plays faithfully and tries to overcome their various difficulties to work as a team, yet dies.
Continuing in the normal tradition of the DoD series of tournaments, the Talislanta tournament promises to be both challenging, puzzling, exciting, and heroic. This is one game you will not want to miss, and since its online and free, why miss out on the opportunity?

The Delve of Destiny III runs from September 11th-13th, 1998. The schedule will consist of afternoon and evening slots, making it easy for just about anyone to attend. Special guests are planned, including an appearance by Steve Sechi, author of Talislanta.
